It's my hope that the over the top DRM on consoles will push ever more people back to PC gaming. Sure there is DRM on PCs, but cracked versions inevitably turn up. http://games.slashdot.org/story/13/04/26/1318214/paul-thurrot-predicts-november-debut-500-tag-for-xbox-720#With consoles making a crack isn't so easy.

While I appreciate what was said in the video, I can't imagine that I'd ever prefer leap motion, or even touch screens, over a mouse. It all boils down to the physical exertion of lifting my arm to perform input vs resting my arm on a desk and lightly moving my wrist. I can overcome intuitive input by learning to use a less intuitive system, but I will never overcome more physically exertive systems being more physically exertive.

I recall hearing that Chefs learn to manipulate a whisk with their wrist because the smaller muscles are less tiring in the long run, even though it's more natural to want to use your shoulder and arm to perform the action. This seems to be analogous to these new input styles.

While the ISS may be only 250 miles above the ground, I can't imagine they only intend to do tests when the ISS is directly above the transmitter. I suspect the journalist completely failed at understanding the spatial relationship between a space station and a spot on the ground.

They took what is inherently a single player game and turned it into social networking garbage.

Funny, what I remember from Sim City 4 was that the one key use of regions was off-loading your trash to a neighbor. Now you have multi-player regions, so social networking your garbage sounds exactly right.

I don't believe Netflix offers their super HD service to TWC customers. At an initial glance their website didn't mention TWC, but it did have an 'and more.'

Also, as if often the case with cable, if your neighbors were doing the same thing you wouldn't have such a nice experience. There is drastic difference in quality of cable internet depending on where you live.

Of course TWC customers don't need that much bandwidth. Right now the amount of bandwidth they'll give you is generally not enough to stream HD video reliably. This would be a problem for many people, but since their customers all subscribe to cable it clearly doesn't affect them. Streaming 1080p video to multiple devices simultaneously over the internet would kill their core business. Bias is expected.

Brute force attacks take time, lots of time. Just start changing your key every week and he will probably go away. Having your computer run 96 hours to get a password that then changes 72 hours later just isn't worth it, even for a criminal. If he keeps at it then someone just enjoys the challenge, and you should hunt them down just for the mystery.

Searching the spectators would hardly be relevant. Spectators are generally not allowed to use electronic devices in the tournament hall. If someone was coming in, looking at a board, and walking out every move the tournament directors would notice and investigate. Chess tournaments usually have a small army of directors.

Trouble always comes at the wrong time.
