I agree, "The End of Eternity" is his masterpiece. In my opinion its the best book ever written.

that's because sci-fi writers 'predict' stuff that they (and most of other people) would like to become real. so scientists and inventors work on them. and with enough time and money you get something that resembles the prediction. the writers never give you enough details, so its not a true prediction after all.

btw, my favorite book is Asimovs "The End of Eternity". its simply awesome.

I think biggest curse would be knowing (exactly) ones destiny, if such thing exists.

it is obvious they are referring to one kind of SSD failure that is predictable.
a lightning strike for eg. is quite unpredictable, and it might cause SSD/HDD failure.

I think the biggest issue here is that its much harder to read from eink (let alone LCD) than from paper. That's probably bad for eyes in long run.
