Well my two discount coupons arrived, so now I am searching for two recievers so I won't be left out in the cold come Feb. of next year. It is interesting the government is willing to subsidize new recievers (up to $40 each); I am pretty sure the government has an easier time broadcasting mind control rays over digital tv. Anyway, so far I haven't been able to find any; Walmart is always sold out, and every place else (Circuit City, Best Buy) has of course jacked up their prices to $60. Oh and btw Radioshack, your website sucks; who knows if they sell them or what the prices are.

So, anyone else hunting around for converter boxes, or was everyone else smart enough to buy an HD ready tv?

First of all, if you haven't seen this Jim Henson movie you are missing a treat. The sets and costumes are incredible. Yeah it is from 1986, but still it is very compelling (and possibly quite disturbing for younger kids).

Keep an eye out for Gates McFadden (aka Dr. Crusher, of Star Trek fame) who was one of the choreographers for this movie.

As reality sinks in that there is pretty much no likely way for Hillary Clinton to win the nomination (http://news.yahoo.com/s/politico/20080512/pl_politico/10262), one must wonder; what does it say about a candidate who continues to fight, even when the toll is worse each day, and a given course is in fact undermining the goals of the greater good? I realize there is a pretty big blurry area when it comes to an attitude of never give up v.s. cutting your losses, but the problems we are facing now don't need another person who picks a course and runs headlong down the road to ruin without a second thought. What is Hillary Clinton's goal? Is her sitting in the Oval Office the only reason she is running for president? Or is she running for president to make America a better place?

During the Battles of Yongqiu and Suiyang, the Tang soldiers in Yongqiu were running out of arrows. Zhang Xun ordered about 1,000 scarecrows to be made. At night, soldiers put their own armor onto the scarecrows, and hung them down from the Castle walls. Yan forces saw this and shot many arrows at the scarecrows, since they thought they were Tang soldiers. By the time the Yan forces found out what happened, the Tang troops had already received about 200,000 arrows. When this happened again later, Yan soldiers did not shoot one single arrow at them. But these dark figures were real Tang soldiers, who quickly attacked the sleeping Yan ranks. The vast Yan forces were forced to retreat from their position.
