I am much better off since 2008. My cost of living is dramatically higher, because I'm maintaining two households in different states, but I'm making enough to do so and the company I started last year is doing well.

When you have the core developers of major linux distributions refusing to fix a bug despite being called out publicly by Linus Torvaldsit's hard to feel like switching to Linux would be any better. Especially when one considers that the objectively best Linux distribution (by number of users) for desktop applications is Ubuntu and they break shit just to break shit every release.
The right not to migrate is not the same as recognizing your superior right to a piece of land merely because your ancestors occupied it at some distant point in the future.
The gospels were written between 30 and 100 years after the supposed death of Jesus Christ. I can't think of anything modern that would be considered more hearsay than that. Worse still, the entire liturgical document was created by a political organization 300 years later. Nothing in that document would be permitted as evidence in court. Never mind the seventeen hundred years of rewrites and revisions. I can't speak toward the Tibetan Books of the Dead, but the Bhagavad Gita has similar issues, especially if you got your copy from a Hare Krishna
heck, eye witness evidence (which most of the various theologies are based on, from the Vedas to the Olympians and beyond) is even accepted in court- but it's not acceptable to an atheist.

This is magic thinking. Sex doesn't lead to babies, the fertilization of an egg by a sperm cell leads to babies.
I'd second QuodLibet if only for the regex music searches. QuodLibet's the only thing I miss in OS X.
What if the war happened, but the Holocaust didn't and because of that, Germany was able to devote more resources to the actual effort and win? What if Hitler's replacement didn't go insane at the end and honored his agreement with Russia and conquered all of Europe except Britain, Ireland and Iceland?
Without the Holocaust, what egregious horror would a German-conquered Europe have?
Oxford English Dictionary attests 'normalcy' back to 1857.
Perhaps at Mailtrust, but not throughout the Cloud brand.
The lack of a microSD isn't really as onerous as it would seem. Just install the dropbox or zumodisk app and you can have an effectively unlimited amount of disk space if it's necessary. In practice it just isn't.
