+ - Spotify closes download loophole->

Submitted by jonfr
jonfr writes "According to BBC News, Spotify has closed down a loophole in there system that allowed users to download the mp3 file of the music they where listening too. While this is just copying and nothing else, the spoke person for Briffa, Sheena Sheikh claims any such action to be nothing but stealing.

"Sheena Sheikh, a solicitor from intellectual property specialists Briffa, told the BBC that the law is straightforward on such downloading activity.
"It is effectively stealing," she said.
"You are committing an infringement. You're not authorised to download the songs. You don't have permission."""

Here are the requirement for tourist visa for Switzerland if you are not from EFTA/EU+Schengen area. They are extremely strict and troublesome.

But this is nothing compared to going to Falkland Islands. They have rather strict measurements there too. Even worse then Switzerland.

But you are paying for it. Your payment is the advertisement that you are being served. It is easy to mistake that for "free" while it is not. Nothing is free (in reality) and we all pay for the services we get in one way or the other. The most common approach to do this is with advertisements, rather then subscriptions or paywalls.

Yes, you also pay for slashdot. Both with advertisement and subscription (optional) charges.

Those scripts should be architected software that pulls from a number of sources, coalesces the data using some logical averaging at least then makes a decision on whether to trade.

That trades happen based on keywords is hard to imagine.

They do not have time. Reason being. They are too greedy to even consider it.

I am being serious. He has already lost this 10.000$. Unless it is just a trickery and he is never going to accept any proof at all. But that might well be the case. Since the creationist types are crazy assholes to begin with and never accept any proof at all. No matter how well documented it is.

By the way. Book of genesis is a really, really big pile of crap. It is actually more then that. It is a big pile of useless crap from start to end. There is nothing else to it.

This people do not have any understanding of computers or the internet in general. I doubt it is going to change in the future. Since this type of people are generally not computer literature at all and never have been.

I doubt they know even what an IP address is or an hard drive.

Same did happen in Iceland few years ago. A guy who was considered "odd" by everyone did vanish. He did not have any mobile phone or debit card (or credit card). He did pay in cash only. He was last seen on security camera in gas station in south Iceland. He burnt car was found in a quarry few months later. The person it self has not been seen since. His remains have not been found so far. Even after extensive search.

This was some 4 years ago if my memory is correct.
