I'm a little ashamed that in the US we immediately turn to litigation without considering other options such as mediation law. In the UK mediation law is the norm, whereas litigation is more of a last resort. But in Soviet Russia, software patents litigate YOU!
jonathan_the_ninja writes "So I've been working as a programmer for a website using the Joomla Web CMS, and I have been positively shocked at the lack of relevant and useful documentation for the sorts of things I've been doing. Mostly, I've just been writing components for the system, which I eventually got the hang of with a bare-bones tutorial and by looking at the actual Joomla codebase. But I really feel like I should have been able to get information about the various global variables and all of the things you have to do to make a component actually work (values for the hidden HTML tags, etc>). The main Joomla site lacks a tutorial that explains this competently. I've even had access to the book, Building Websites with Joomla, which does a great job of describing site management tasks, but is still lacking when it comes to giving the information I need for making a component. Did I miss something? I love Joomla, but where's the documentation, folks?" Link to Original Source
