+ - Eviction of tenant of my commercial property in India

jigyasubalak writes "I own a commercial property in India. And I had let it out to person who is giving me a lot of grief for vacating it. Basically, he was a very irregular rent payer and was not paying the hike in the rents too. So I had to start legal eviction procedures. But the wheels of justice in India move so slowly that in 2 years since I have started the eviction proceedings the case has hardly come to hearing twice. Since either the judge is on leave or the judge is transferred/promoted and there is no judge to hear the case or that law is too lenient on tenants.
I want to write to our legislators to bring some laws that would fast track eviction proceedings by any means. It is in this regard that I want to learn from you all from different countries/states/regions how eviction proceedings happen so that I may make some suggestions when I write to our law makers."
