Being environmentally friendly is killing the planet. If we become engery independent, the middle east will get mad and attack us. Then we would need 2 nuke them, thus damaging the environment more than my hummer does. -- Posted by: Clyde | May 10, 2008 11:00:04 AM

Creekstone Farms Premium Beef LLC, the Kansas-based meat producer, shouldn't be allowed to test beef for mad-cow disease on its own because it could hurt the U.S. cattle industry, a government lawyer told an appeals court.
The industry! The industry! Yes! We must protect the industry.
Larger meatpackers have opposed Creekstone's push to allow wider testing out of fear that consumer pressure would force them to begin testing all animals too.
Wouldn't want that now, would we?
