This. The last thing we need are people feeling pressured by an outside organization (looking at you Unions *and* employers). Some may already feel pressured one way or another but there is not way for an outside source to confirm a third party vote. This is terrible and had better be overturned.

One of the best ways to save tax dollars (it would seem to me) is to rid ourselves of MS, Oracle, etc as much as possible on the federal level and let that effect trickle down to the state and local levels. While, there are a few suggestions about FOSS (This and this for example), the most "popular" one only has 5 votes. Slashdot, how can we push for this?"
