Links of interest on a single site does not constitute "news." Their should be some element of timliness to the links. Also, considering the competition, i.e. digg and others, links should be presented to current events at a faster pace. The idea I was bringing out was that CollegeHumor, being a college level comedy site, shoudln't be scooping slashdot on links of interest. Also, I said simply that slashdot should be on top of things. Apparently you translate "News for Nerds, Stuff that matters" into links of interest. Well, the best buy thing was not news, and doesn't matter, albeit was a link of interest. I am relevently pointing out that Slashdot shoudl put more effort into gathering NEWS. Calling me an idiot, and assuming a race to be first is without merit, and the simple fact that my post was first does not prove your point.
