This stems from a 2002 decision covering patent ownership and a 2004 decision covering patent value. Hitachi had previously given Mr. Yonezawa 2.3 million Yen ($20,000) for the patents which he transferred to the firm between 1973 and 1977. A wheels-of-justice slow-grind for a senior salaryman.
