How about we not turn one sentence, unverified, anonymous reports of stuff not working on websites into Slashdot stories. Might as well pipe our corporate helpdesk ticketing system into the Slashdot story submitter. "MY MONITAR WIL NOT TURN ON!!11!!"

Peanut allergies are a very real thing. That said, I don't agree with schools banning PB&J from the cafeteria because 1 kid has an allergy. There are other ways to handle that kind of thing, like teach the kid to stay away from peanuts.
Yeah, the thing is it already has taken off. They can hardly add additional capacity fast enough. AWS is a very profitable business for Amazon. Our company switched from a traditional data center setup to running fully on AWS and it did reduce our costs and increase our agility and scalability. That said, like anything it's not a fit for everybody.
Jeopardy doesn't stream online -- heck, they don't even make past episodes available online. Best bet is www.channelsurf.eu
wouldn't they still need some special license to rent out the DVDs?
With a connection like that it's about latency, not just pure speed. Also you usually get an SLA. Not so with residential FiOS.
I was an early adopter of FiOS in 2006. Had the 5/2 plan for $29.99. Since then the price has slowly increased. Last year they doubled by download speed and started charging me $49.99 for 10/2. If I had it to do over again, I'd have stuck with DSL. I don't need anything faster than 5/2. Now I'm stuck with a minimum price of $50/month. Lame.
Our company was one of those preorders. We were testing our product on lots of different tablets. We received the JooJoo, saw what a piece of garbage it was, and returned it for a full refund.
aren't all words made up?
Am I the only one who read this headline as "The Spread of Do-It-Yourself, Biotch!"
Most Muslims will ignore it and call them "retards". It's the extremists that everyone is scared of. Those crying out against the burning are scared that this will provoke another 9/11. You know how there was this one quiet strange kid in school that no one would pick on? This is kinda the same thing.
I can't begin to understand why these calculators, which have been around for many years and still have the same features and functions, cost the same as they did when I was in school about 15 years ago. http://xkcd.com/768/
Yeah really. Before we got away from traditional hardware (NAS, SAN, etc.) we had piece of crap Dot Hill arrays and they had redundant power supplies and redundant controllers. There must be more to this story.
