Last year when TrueCrypt developers suddenly threw in the towel, everyone assumed it was because TrueCrypt had been forced been subverted by the NSA, similar to Lavabit. If that's not the case though, as the audit suggests, then why did the developers suddenly quit?
A couple of years ago uTorrent started installing adware with their software as well, and everyone either bailed or went back to v2.2.1. So why would anyone be using the most current version of uTorrent anyway?
Maybe if anyone besides PETA cared about what PETA thinks this would be news, otherwise I have to quote John Oliver on this: "Hey everyone, we can just ignore them!"
Once it's digital, there is no 1:1 ratio. A simple Ctrl+C + Ctrl+V and suddenly it's a 2:1 ratio.
I really enjoyed reading about the little war between Microsoft and AOL during the chat heyday. However the author went into asides that were 3x longer than the actual story he was trying to tell, going through the entire history of Microsoft and Apple.
I'm no sure if anyone take Ray Kurzweil seriously... except of course for Ray Kurzweil.
