Seeing as how he's now 21 months old

Seeing as how Alex is now 7 months old.

So I am waiting.... I have about three weeks until I can legitimately tell people I am about to become a father. I know that I am supposed to wait until the third month, so that if "complications" arise, I won't have to deal with telling everyone about it.

This wouldn't be quite so bad if we hadn't been off on the date. My wife and I were under the assumption that we were about 2 1/2 weeks more pregnant that we actually were. That means that I have to wait an additional 2 1/2 weeks to tell everyone. Damn it.

Well, this is my first attempt at a journal entry. I don't suppose anyone will read it.

I'm back to burning things again! (Cue maniacal laughter)

Before you go get upset or anything, let me qualify this with the fact that I am trained and paid to burn things, in particular hydrogen, methane and propane. I'm in grad school right now doing research on the catalytic / non-catalytic combustion of hydrocarbons. Imagine that, getting paid to play with fire!

Oh well, back to work.
