It's the sixth year of GameTunnel putting together their list highlighting great games that you may not have heard of, by developer's that you're probably not familiar with. It's been a long journey to get here and each year it seems Indie games are just a little better known by the gaming public at large, which we view as tremendously good news. The games themselves also seem to get a bit better each year, mixing unique visions with innovation to create experiences that speak to the heart of gamers. Each of the games is a winner in its own right, an undiscovered gem just waiting to be found. So dim the lights and warm up your modem, as Game Tunnel presents: The Top 10 Independent Games of 2007."

cyrus_zuo writes " Game Tunnel 's monthly Indie game review panel is no more. This month's panel, posted July 31st, will be the final panel reviewing what's new in Independent games. The monthly review panel has run just over 3 years with the July panel marking the 37th panel. Having reviewed 468 games over its life, the panel has had a variety of writers giving a plethora of opinions about what has been great and what hasn't been so great in the world of Indie games. The final panel features Derek Yu from TIGSource (and IGF winner Aquaria fame), Greg Costikyan from Manifesto Games, John Bardinelli from Joystiq, and Caspian Prince from Puppygames."

cyrus_zuo writes " Game Tunnel has published the June Independent Video Game round-up, the latest in their long-running Famitsu-styled panels that review all the newest Indie PC games. The 10 games reviewed this month include the shooter Jets'n'Guns Gold, an ecologically focused sim called Venture Arctic and a political sim called PeaceMaker that challenges players to bring peace to the Middle-East. This is the last panel for former Avault Editor-in-Chief Brian Clair as well as founding panel member Mike Hommel. Derek Yu of Tigsource and Greg Costikyan of Manifesto Games join the panel in July."
