An anonymous reader writes: Five years ago, grey writing paper with white guidelines was patented in here Sweden. A color choice was patented(!). Thankfully, the patent was revoked in 2009 due to prior art. Whitelines appealed the decision, but recently their appeal was denied in the Swedish Court of Patent Appeals (case no 09-361).
However, they still put "Patented" on their pages, in their press and in interviews, and I'm not sure how the situation is with the USPTO. I just wanted everyone to know that now everyone can make writing paper where the guidelines are lighter than the background area, and also ask your advice on what to do with the US patent.
