+ - What's a security concious IPv6 user to do?

cmburns69 writes "I've been considering switching to IPv6 for some time. I've heard that firewalls, NAT, and other standard IPv4 security features are not needed when using IPv6. That just doesn't sound right. For somebody who's looking to switch their home network to IPv6, how should I do it right, so that I remain secure?"

cmburns69 writes "According to an article in the Provo, UT Daily Herald: "Novell Inc. is nearing the end of a multimillion dollar restructuring effort that is expected to result in a number of jobs being eliminated or relocated to its other operations overseas, a company official said Thursday. It is rumored that as my as 600 jobs could be cut from their Provo, UT branch. Kevan Barney, spokesman for Novell, declined to comment on rumors of significant layoffs supposedly planned for next week... 'I'm not confirming how many are laid off,' Barney said." Will this be a major layoff, with Novell reaping major profits, or is it just business as usual at Novell?"
