Before tormenting about the sale of Acer’s Timeline X in the market for such a long period here just check this out. Yes, its true that the Timeline X has been on the shelves since some time. We even reviewed the base model this month. Acer held a press conference here in Mumbai where it unveiled two models of the 14-inch laptop. Other than the one tested, which came with a Core i3 processor and Intel HD graphics, the other two have better beef packed inside. The 4820TG comes in two iterations: the first one having same specs (Core i3 330M processor, 3GB RAM, 320GB Hard drive) the base model having one change — an ATI Radeon HD 5470 graphics instead of the on-board Intel GMA. The Radeon 5470 512 MB chip is a lower-mid range GPU which we’d tested on another Acer laptop. This will let you play games from the last few years smoothly, but the settings have been toned down. We’re talking of after-work NFS Most Wanted or Street Fighter IV sessions; not Crysis in all its glory. This model is priced Rs. 42,700 + taxes, which is four thousand more than the 4820T. People who want to play most recent games in high detail should have a look at the one below. The second variant of the 4820TG is much better. It comes with a Core i5 430M CPU which is clocked at 2.26 GHz, but can shoot up to 2.53 GHz with the help of Intel’s Turbo Boost technology. It is topped with 4GB RAM and a 500 GB hard drive. The best part is — an ATI Radeon HD 5650 graphics chip. This model will be able to run all your current games with relative ease, and we can’t wait to review it. This is the most expensive model; costing Rs. 48,900 + taxes. Surprising part is that all models have a netbook-like 8 hour battery claim. Acer said this was possible thanks to the “PowerSmart” tool that optimizes the power draw which is better than Windows 7?s default power-saving schemes. When we tested the Timeline X 4820T base model, we got roughly 5 hours in real-world usage (on Balanced mode, with 80 percent brightness and Wi-fi internet). We’ll update you if that Core i5/ATI Radeon combo model can also live up to this number. If ATI doesn’t match your requirements, then there is an Aspire 5745PG kept next to the Timeline X’s. It has 5.6-inch screen, Core i5 processor and an NVIDIA GeForce GT330M graphics.

I have a theory that it's impossible to prove anything, but I can't prove it.
