System Admin. I administer Linux, AIX and Windows servers in that order of preference. I like FreeBSD as well, I'm just not using it at the moment. All email to my public address gets junked unless I know to look for it. If you want to email me and get a reply, find a better way. Its not impossible, just terribly difficult.

Microsoft to sponsor Apache Software Foundation

Today at the Open Source Software Convention, Microsoft announced it is becoming a Platinum sponsor of the Apache Software Foundation ($100,000 entry fee to join Yahoo and Google.) On Ars Technica they note suspicion but don't see any way that it could be damaging. Is this really the end of the world as we know it?
