Oh FFS... nothing is stopping YOU from compiling your OWN platform specific kernel for your particular board... this uber ARM kernel however makes things far simpler for everyday folk to just download an ARM live disk and install it onto a laptop that has an ARM processor without having to jump through a multitude of hoops to cross-compile an image for his specific processor... there are a lot of ARM based laptops and tablets that do have the resources to handle this and it would make it far easier to get Linux onto them. No hoping someone has already produced an image for your particular tablet... like I have to keep searching for a prebuilt custom Android ROM for my particular phone/tablet...

Likewise with tornadoes, which have remained more-or-less constant. Damage caused by F1 to F5 tornadoes is actually dropping; it's the little guys, the F0s, that are increasing damage. Is that because there are more tornadoes? No, there are not more tornadoes. I suggest it is because there is more lightweight construction in/near tornado zones and so damage is happening where in the past it would not - nothing to damage.

likely more targets for them to hit in the form of trailer parks...

Most cars round where I live don't bother cleaning their number plates... the chances of actually being picked up by a ploice road patrol that could be bothered to do the stop are pretty slim. And if they were picked up, they have a simple excuse which should not really be allowed to stand as by law, your vehicle is supposed to be roadworthy which includes having legible plates and you're supposed to check certain things daily.

don't be stupid... tail lights do not go off when you turn your headlights off, they turn off when you turn your sidelights off. There are three positions to the lights switch: Off, Sidelights on, Headlights & Sidelights on. Your main beams are controlled by a second switch... I would suggest to you that you actually familiarise yourself with the controls in your car and their operation and get out and look at the back with the switch in different positions.
