I personally want more research and development specially in the area of space research! But how to pay for it? we are already borrowing as much as taxes bring in to the Federal Government. That unsustainable.

For several large IT project at the State agency level, I can safely say that the bidding process for an RFP is to the lowest bidder, not the best bidder. Also they make it easier for certain companies to be on the bidding process ie. cronyism. So really the state ends up with what it asks for. Most large IT project fail because of these reasons.

Typically there are two scales one with Socialism where Communism and Fascism are at either end of the scale, for the free-market or better known as freedom scale there is anarchy and authoritarianism.
