The scientologist view on psychiatry is not an accident, or a fetish. They utilize brainwashing techniques when acquiring converts, and exposure to a trained psychologist would risk deprogramming. How better to protect your brainwashed followers than to train them to hate and fear the cure?

The reason why police can do a simple search of a detained person, and look inside containers, is to ensure the safety of the officer. It is a light search to ensure that the detained person is not armed. Until I can install a weapon on my cell phone, looking inside it as if it were a 'container', is obviously abuse.

I just use Daylight Saving Time all the time. I'm fine with everyone else being wrong, as long as it gets dark at 5:30 on the shortest day of the year instead of 4:30. Dark at 8am? So what, 8am sucks anyway. Worried about school kids? Set their schedule so they have an 8 hour day that always has daylight in whatever region you are in.

When discussing rights held by the press, there is additional reason to allow them to remain silent. Upholding the ability for the press to protect their sources has a compelling state interest, in that empowering them to investigate criminal activity is in the public interest. Once you start compelling the press to divulge their sources, people stop talking to them.

Consultants are mystical people who ask a company for a number and then give it back to them.
