Submission + - Saw could be stolen property from Indie film Den!

glych writes: "The 2004 blockbuster movie Saw could be plagiarized from the 2001 independent aussie movie Den. Greg Arce, the writer and director of Den thinks so, saying "Everyone who has seen both films has said the same thing, 'they ripped you off!'" and citing a list of examples in a recent interview with Panel2Panel columnist Steve Anderson for his widely syndicated column Reel Advice . Some of those "too close for comfort" similarities include character likenesses, events, dialogue, loglines, and twists. The article starts with a reference to a similar situation with the movie The Last Broadcast being widely accepted as ripped off by the movie The Blair Witch Project though there is no court case on record for this incident."

The first version always gets thrown away.
