While I agree that distracted driving is dangerous and and I also expect that CA will make this illegal. I would love to have something like this to project speed and directions (think distance to next turn and direction) in my motorcycle helmet. The down side of some of these laws is that it's designed to nack people from doing stupid/dangerous things but also stop usage models for augmented reality that might actually make things easier/safer. How many drivers look at the GPS display on the center dash board? Is that safer them having it displayed on the windshield or google glass?
In the US anything you say even asking for a lawyer is admissible as well. If you ask for a lawyer and then are not smart enough to NOT SAY ANYTHING till you actually have one in the room......you might as well have not asked for one.
In some ways the new flow is easier. If I don't want explicit results don't use explicit search terms. If I want explicit results use explicit keywords. Now people don't have to go into the setting and change something just to see different results. They also don't have to remember to turn them off.
"so the real solution is to just get rid of the gas guzzling behemoths" - oh? will the smart car pull my boat? my RV? can I still pile 8 people into it? what about the guys who do landsacping and lawn mowing....they drive around pickpu truck loaded with stuff. Do people with big vehicle always use them for these activities? no. However getting rid of them will never really work as there is a need for them.
So your solution is to commit mail and/or wire fraud?
Well the main point of the AT&T and T-mobile deal was for AT&T to get more spectrum. They have said pretty publicly that the current rate increases and enforcement of data caps are due to that deal failing and them not getting the spectrum they wanted/needed. I have AT&T and I get those txt messages warning me of my usage about every other month or so, so don't take this to mean I agree with them, but at the same time....what did you expect to happen when the merger got killed?
I have an HP Touchsmart TM2T and use it for taking notes in class. The stylus/screen is great. I do find that I cannot write as small as I can on real paper, but I just start zoomed in and so when I zoom out it ends up at the same size. It's a great little system.
It continues because they think it is effective. I'm sure they can see if it's making them money and therefore effective. Until something happens that causes them to lose money it is effective for them.
Your correct. I mistakenly thought the law was from 1980 (it's actually 1990) and that is second term of the first go-round counted. It has nothing to do with coolaid, just a simple mistake in a date.
Actually it's two terms total since November 6, 1990. So he is NOT term limited because both of his prior terms were before that. I was originally thinking it was 1980 and his second term counted, but I was wrong. However there is nothing in the qualifications about them being "consecutive".
None. He's term-limited. He CAN'T run for Governor again.
Raiders of the Lost Ark. I know, technically not a ninja, but same idea. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=anEuw8F8cpE
An anonymous reader writes "I am currently looking to move from text editing with vim to a full fledged IDE with gdb integration, integrated command line, etc. Extending VIM with these capabilities is a mortal sin, so I am looking for a linux based GUI IDE. I do not want to give up the efficient text editing capabilities of VIM though. How do I have my cake and eat it too?"
Or they Just don't care and ring it up as what ever apple they know the code for. Same with things like mustard greens and kale, it usually ends up getting rung up as green or red leaf lettuce. I suspect there are some who can tell all the fruit and veggies by sight, and some who check the tag, and then some who just pick a code they know that the stuff kinda looks like.
Or you are the photographer who is behind one endzone and is taking pictures of the players in the OTHER endzone. You might also be the photographer behind the center field wall and trying to get a good close-up of the batter that's usually also about 100 yards. These lens are often used in photography at pro-sporting events. The 46-foot focus on that is really not that far when you consider this distances involved in some sports. Yes, they are also used by paparazzi and stalkers. See here http://www.southcreekglobal.com/employment.php for some examples.
