+ - EU imposes another record fine for Microsoft->

Submitted by THEbwana
THEbwana writes: European Union regulators has fined Microsoft a record 899 million euros for failing to comply with a 2004 antitrust order, the largest EU fine ever imposed against a single company (the previous "winner" in this dubious contest was also MS). Microsoft was deemed to have failed in obeying an order requiring it to charge ``reasonable'' royalty rates for patent licenses rivals needed to connect products to the Windows platform.
