SanityInAnarchy writes: "My current bank uses yet more wish-it-was-twofactor security — neglecting EV certs and same-domain SSL for a pile of security questions. At this point, PayPal is both more secure (everything is https://www.paypal.com/) and more convenient.

There have to be some banks that get this right — using a physical token (instead of my mother's maiden name), pervasive SSL, and allowing the browser's back button to work. Which ones do Slashdotters use? Preferably something in the US, with US currency..."

+ - DefectiveByDesign open letter to Steve Jobs

SanityInAnarchy writes: "We all remember Steve Jobs' blog entry calling for a world without DRM. DefectiveByDesign is sending him an open letter suggesting that he show us how serious he is. From the article:

You can set the ethical example and be the first "major" to drop DRM, by freeing independent artists.... You can set the example in the arena of video and movies. Disney can be the first "major" to drop DRM. You have the direct power to do this.
You can sign the letter as a petition. Their goal is 1000 signatures by April 1."
