Ooops! My bad! After posting, I wondered if anybody would catch my error on "reckoning !"
I'm old enough to tell you that I had one such system! It used "dead recognition" and hooked into the odometer to do it's calculations. Worked pretty durn good!
Thanks! I DID forget to address the "how long" question!
My experience (75 yo, retired engineer) is that there is little left of "corporate loyalty." An engineer who STAYS at the same job for a long time is suspect when applying for a new job. Further, raises are usually meager and far-between, so for salary maximization, periodic job changes are mandatory. Now, with portable IRA's and 401-k's, pension loss is less of a problem.
One thing everyone else has missed, so far: your printer! Read the instructions for shipping! I didn't, and when I moved and opened the box with my printer, ink was EVERYWHERE!!! Wound up pitching the printer!
YESSIR! the Slashdot Meltdown/Brick award! Let's do it!
Hmm... The Cloud as a jukebox?
Yeah, but... The purpose of GM crops is to provide pesticide resistance!!! So, MORE pesticides will be used on these crops!!! Just eat your Dieldrin laced peas!!!
I'd also stay clear of the United Way! I discovered that they had no clue as to where my AUTO-DEDUCTION was going! Add that to the their HIGH salaries, and there are two good reasons to go elsewhere!
If this will really be attempted, operators of emergency radio systems and HAM radio operators are going to collect a bucketful of fines!
Say, "Hugh Pickens..." Your link points to a PCMAG article, not PC World! Wondering if you can read from any format...
