Well, just incase anyone actually reads my journal, I tried submitting this article today about CNN running this story about a key senator introducing a much-anticipated legislation that would prevent computers and other electronic devices from playing unauthorized music, movies or other copyrighted material.
It has rasied a few eyebrows all over including Silicon Valley, the Music Industry, as well as other big players (like Disney) that want to be able to controll how computers work, in essence, crippling them from doing what they are capable of doing now.
Can't wait to see how long it will be before slashdot posts this story...
Gotta love the way/. decides to post stories, I always thought slashdot was "News for Nerds. Stuff that Matters." -- you see I was taking a boo through CNN.com when I can across two stories that caught my eye. The first was about Lab-grown fish chunks could feed astronauts. The second was about Scientists testing the first human cyborg. Now IMHO I thought the cyborg story would have been a much better post than the fish story, but hey I guess its about whatever tickles their fancy and not their readers.
UPDATE: after I was done writing this entry and refreshed my/. page, the story about the cyborg was up... about 2 hours after i submitted it.. love ya/.
