They have a TRS-80 in Pyongyang.
Holy crap, even the afterlife is cutting corners now. Used to be 72 just a few years ago. Maybe too many muslims died and they're rationing the remaining virgins?
The government collects two virgins for death taxes.
So are you saying they had a time machine too?
Even better, they had a TARDIS.
There are other ways to communicate with people such as email and the Real World(tm).
Or he really was clothed and they made a point of mentioning he was clothed because there are people who will infer autoerotic asphyxiation regardless of the facts.
Grammar aside I think the word you were thinking of was "independent" not "free".
That being said, you're right that the British colonies in North America had nothing to do with the burning of the White House. It was the British navy, not the colonists, that raided and burnt down the White House.
I was at that conference. IBM/Softlayer is built entirely from a fork of cloudstack they brand inhouse as IMS.
Yeah, if this is the IMS you're talking about it has nothing to do with cloudstack. Unless you're suggesting IBM forked cloudstack back in 1966.
But it does have an A-ring.
Cops don't shoot unarmed rich white guys. Hell, rich white guys can take up arms against the government and the right will call them patriots. Imagine if a black man did what Bundy did. Talk radio would be calling for a military strike.
I'd hardly call Al Bundy a rich, white guy.
I assume you mean generic programming on Windows is easier in C#. Although debatable on Windows, it's less so on some platforms and impossible on others.
All the languages that have truly had longevity have also been generally available on numerous platforms (i.e. not just Windows and Mac).
Apple filed a patent lawsuit against HTC in 2010, and Samsung in 2011. According to Wikipedia, are the only two patent lawsuits Apple has ever filed in the entire history of the company.
Let's hear it for Wikipedia. The complete and unabridged source of all human knowledge.
Just like adding "on the internet" to a patent description seems to negate prior art I'm sure "by scanning a person's face" rather than "by scanning a person's ear" will make it sufficiently "unique".
I'll take a government I can vote out of office than a corporation that can rebrand, hide behind subsidiaries, operate out of tax havens, etc.
Large corporations have proven time and again that, when left to their own devices, they will screw over consumers, each other and anyone unfortunate enough to live near their factories. The only check on this type of amoral behaviour is responsible, democratically elected governments.
It's been pointed out numerous times so for consistency I might as well add it here:
I've been using various flavours of Unix (commercial and free) for over 25 years and I've never had occasion to use '--'. I may have even come across it at some point but since I haven't needed it it's not something in my every day bag of tricks.
It does sound as though it's one of those things that once you need it you never forget it.
