Journal RobertB-DC's Journal: Rejected Submission: Discredited Bush Memo Faxed From Texas 4

I can't pretend to not have an opinion on the matter, but I thought that this article would be accepted. Doesn't it seem like the Politics section has died down a bit *too* much this past week?

Oh, well... at least it took them about an hour to decide to reject it. Folks tell me that's a good sign -- they probably at least read it before rejecting it.

Discredited Bush Memo Faxed From Texas
(Politics,Republicans) (rejected)

The intrigue surrounding the Bush Service Memo deepened with the latest revelation: the memo was faxed to CBS News from a Kinko's location in Abilene, Texas. While the Houston Chronicle notes that this is close to the home of Bush critic Bill Burkett, it's also well within the sphere of influence of Bush adviser Karl Rove, whose behind-the-scenes shenanigans in Texas are well-documented.

Sounds weird enough to actually be a plan.

According to the author of "Bush's Brain" (integerviewed* on NPR's Fresh Air), Rove came up with a wacky plan during the pre-Watergate time: "borrow" his opponent's letterhead and print up "invitations" to an upcoming event -- the opening of the candidate's campaign office. These bogus invitations promised free beer and free women, and were passed out to all the "hippies and homeless" in th

Not a day goes by I don't find out about something else they have done, if illegal wars isn't enough. I also think the timing is significant, it matched the release of kitty kelleys book on the bushes.

Ever got an evening to waste, google in "bush crime family" some pretty interesting stuff.

To paraphrase some comic -- Leno, I think, talking about the end of the Iraq occupation -- "I think that's scheduled for shortly after the start of the Kerry administration."

But don't trust me just because I agree with you. I'm certain that Rove is using the Bloggosphere as a tool -- both to spread whispers about Kerry and to whip up paranoia about his own candidate. Here's the pl
