Well, least corrupted if you look at how corruption is defined in the laws of the land. A lot of the corruption is legalized by law(state sanctioned or state run monopolies, or oligopolies run by politicians) and thus not counted towards the corruption score in international rankings.

That's a lot of conjecture in one post. But then again, conservative shills with their ritual hate of wealth redistribution would write something like that.

Would you care to give some examples from the countries in question? (SE, LU, FI, DK)

I will concede that Spain's problems are vastly different than Greece's. But you can hardly call it a good role model of economic growth. Look at all the empthy new houses, apartments and deserted airports. They failed at reining in the bank sector from committing greed driven harakiri. Along with many other countries.

Perhaps if he'd been taught to react differently in the situation that led to his doom, another earlier timeline close call was not averted.

You can influence your child's personality to a limited extent. You can't sculpt its reaction patters down to the last detail to suit future or past needs.
Look at your own current or future kids.

Are you crazy? The whole EU system of bureaucratic civil servants is derived from the French public service system, with an obscene focus on French language over the other two main languages (EN, DE), much disdain for non-francophones and a general "Pfffff!"-attitude towards everyone.
