+ - CBS Orders 7 More Episodes of Jericho->

Submitted by Anssi
Anssi (729722) writes "CBS has announced that they have ordered 7 more episodes of Jericho, the show which was canceled after the first season. The fan campaign involving sending nuts to CBS seems to have been successful, and if the ratings will be good, more episodes will be ordered. Quoting the message from CBS: "On behalf of everyone at CBS, thank you for expressing your support of Jericho in such an extraordinary manner. Your protest was creative, sustained and very thoughtful and respectful in tone. You made a difference.""

+ - Terrorists must register before entering U.S.->

Submitted by Soft
Soft (266615) writes "Citing Islamist terrorists traveling with European passports as a threat to America, the Secretary of the DHS announces that visitors to the U.S. under the Visa Waiver program will have to register online 48 hours in advance, and fill out a questionnaire. According to other articles, this would include personal data such as previous travel destinations and credit card number; this in addition to data already requested directly from airlines, from name and address to luggage ticket number and frequent flier miles collected. Presumably the questions will also include whether the traveler intends to blow himself up in the coming 90 days, or has ever done so in the past? The questions on the back of Form I-94 also come to mind."

+ - Total Lunar Eclipse to Be 1st in 3 Years

Submitted by Uryugen
Uryugen (1011153) writes "The first total lunar eclipse in three years will give nearly every continent at least a partial view when the moon turns a shade of crimson as light reaching it from the sun is blotted out by the Earth. People in the eastern parts of North and South America will find the moon already partially or totally eclipsed by the time it rises over the horizon, while east Asia will see the eclipse cut short by moonset."

+ - Chain-mail could connect wearable gadgets

Submitted by
MattSparkes
MattSparkes writes "Microscopic chain mail has been made by US researchers, which could ultimately be used to create textiles with sensors and other electronics built in. The links are about 500 microns across, and the fabric has a similar tensile strength to nylon. It can be bent around any shape and stretches to increase its length by one-third, and readily conducts electricity. Microchip-scale electronic components could perhaps also one day be built directly into the links of the chain-mail."

+ - Astronaut to undertake record breaking spacewalk

Submitted by
MattSparkes
MattSparkes writes "Two residents of the International Space Station will take a spacewalk tomorrow to try to jam a stuck antenna on a docked cargo ship back into place. The spacewalk will set a US record of over 65 hours spacewalk experience. During the spacewalk, the astronauts will "use a hammer and a chisel to try to pound the antenna into place". Precision engineering at its very best I'm sure you'll agree."

Article PIC: http://www.tweaknews.net/reviews/ocz_proxstream_10 00_watt_power_supply/img/email.jpg

Article Snippet:

"OCZ has a solid performer here. Plenty of solid, stable power will satisfy even the most hardware-laden system, while the quad SLI connectors are a welcome addition for a top-level rig. Add in sleeved cables, a casing no bigger than a lower wattage PSU, and a good price point for the power, and you've got a definite winner in the PSU battles.""
