I think the 2012 Nomination is Hillary's to lose, and that the GOP is going to be stupid (again) and run another milquetoast moderate and lose. In 2008 and 2012, I voted more for the VP candidate (Palin / Ryan) then for the POTUS Candidate (McCain / Romney) and I have a feeling the GOP is going to shoot itself in the foot and nominate Chris Christie.

My preference is still mostly undecided amongst the Not-Christies -- I could support Cruz, Rand Paul, Rick Perry, Mitch Daniels, Scott Walker...

The "Left" I speak of is the "Progressive" movement that traces it's roots to it's fathers: Marx, Robespierre, and others. It portrays itself as a Secular Humanist movement that seeks to create an atheist "utopia", when in reality it's just another Death Cult.

And it is a religion - abortion is the unholy sacrament of the Left, and Leftism demands strict adherence to it's precepts:
* Global Warming is caused my people and WE MUST DO SOMETHING NOW -- when that "something" is always more totalitarian control of people.
* Homosexuality is normal and should be encourages (Marx was a big proponent of this as Marx wanted to see the Nuclaer Family -- and the Church -- destroyed, as the Family / Church Family is the lone stalwart against this kind of garbage)

So that... THAT is who the "left" is.

I do not consider Progressivism quite the prison you seem to.

Perhaps you should. Progressivism, born of the French Revolution by it's diabolical fathers Robespierre and the Jacobins -- and that movement's demonic spawn -- socialism, communism, fascism, modern liberalism, and all other forms of totalitarianism -- are the worst blights humanity has ever had to endure.

Consider the body counts of Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Castro and his little murder-gimp Che, the Il family in N. Korea... and even here in America, where thanks to a racist fascist named Margaret Sanger we've slaughtered 43 million in this country and called it a "medical procedure" and a "Right".

Leftoids like to talk all the time about how religion has all this blood on it's hand, while either ignoring -- or celebrating -- the body count of the secular humanist "Progressive" movement -- a death cult masquerading as something "enlightened" and "noble".

The grim reality of this all is: We The People -- We're fucked, and We deserve it for electing these assholes and ceding more and more of our liberty to an all powerful state. Mussolini would be proud of the Left in this country.

Keep the ammo dry, you may need it to survive. Those deer / wild boar aren't going to shoot themselves, you know.

Really? Slashdot practically begs for page views these days as Reddit has walked up to it, played a punk card, kicked sand in it's face, and buried it like a turd in a litter box, and THIS shit is still going on? Now I remember why I ultimately left in the first place. You know what, fuck it -- I'll try posting as Naq.

On the M4 - buy enough ammo such that you also have enough to fire at a range and become real comfortable with it.

You might need it sooner than you realize.

As far as me - I went ahead and bought that shotgun I was looking at.

ACLU Creates Map of US "Constitution-Free Zone" 979

trackpick points out a recent ACLU initiative to publicize a recent expansion of authority claimed by the Border Patrol to stop and search individuals up to 100 miles from any US border. They have created a map of what they call the US Constitution-Free Zone. "Using data provided by the US Census Bureau, the ACLU has determined that nearly 2/3 of the entire US population (197.4 million people) live within 100 miles of the US land and coastal borders. The government is assuming extraordinary powers to stop and search individuals within this zone. This is not just about the border: This 'Constitution-Free Zone' includes most of the nation's largest metropolitan areas.'"

Submission Obama admits he's not a Natural Born Citizen->

Some PUMA writes: Philip J. Berg, Esquire, the Attorney who filed suit against Barack H. Obama challenging Senator Obama's lack of "qualifications" to serve as President of the United States, announced today that Obama and tbe DNC "ADMITTED", by way of failure to timely respond to Requests for Admissions, all of the numerous specific requests in the Federal lawsuit. Obama is "NOT QUALIFIED" to be President and therefore Obama must immediately withdraw his candidacy for President and the DNC shall substitute a qualified candidate. The case is Berg v. Obama, No. 08-cv-04083.

Berg stated that he filed Requests for Admissions on September 15, 2008 with a response by way of answer or objection had to be served within thirty [30] days. No response to the Requests for Admissions was served by way of response or objection. Thus, all of the Admissions directed to Obama and the DNC are deemed "ADMITTED." Therefore, Obama must immediately withdraw his candidacy for President.

You can read the list of facts that Obama admitted by not responding in Federal Court here.

Everyone likes to belong to something. Whether it be for fun, a sense of belonging, or a need for attention, a group gives you a feeling of solidarity. Surrounding yourself with people that share common goals and ideas can be comforting. Sometimes however, you realize that you hate the people you've surrounded yourself with. Your religion doesn't allow you to read anything that has profanity or you've subscribed to Slashdot thinking you could learn more about hockey. This week's collection is composed of people who don't want to play, read, or be associated with us anymore. Read below to find out how bad they want out.

Should IT Unionize? 1141

snydeq writes "Sixty-hour work weeks with no overtime or comp time, a BlackBerry hitched to your belt 24/7, mandates from managers who have no clue what you actually do — all for a job that could be outsourced tomorrow. 'Is it finally time for technology workers to form a union and demand better working conditions?' InfoWorld's Dan Tynan asks. To some, the odds against IT unions are long, in large part because the 'lone gunman' culture is pervasive. Diversity of skills and job objectives is another hurdle for rallying around common goals. But that has not dissuaded several union-minded groups from cropping up across the industry as of late, Tynan reports. In the end, the best bet for IT may be a professional organization modeled after the American Bar Association or the American Medical Association, one that could give IT professionals a single voice for speaking out on issues that affect everyone — such as H-1B visa limits or tax incentives to keep IT jobs onshore."
