Heh, here goes. Middle-aged gadget-guy. Working (not hiding away with 'puter in a bedroom) with Unix for 20+ years. More interested in what does the job for me rather than the ideology behind it. Still thinks that open source software was better before Linux came on the scene.

Well I thought I'd been on Slashdot long enough to be bothered to start typing things in here.
I'm wondering whether being middle-aged has made me too reasonable. Fifteen years ago I was the BOFH that could reduce users to tears, now even my put down posts on Slashdot get modded to insightful. *sigh* what is the world coming to.
