AltGrendel writes "The BBC reports that a team from Edinburgh have designed and built a molecule, known as a rotaxane, that can move and sort particles. It took three years of painstaking work to find a molecular form that could do this job." Powered by light, it acts as a one way gate. It also allows the device to act as a nanomachine sized motor."

MCTFB writes "According to Fox News, an Israeli company may have a marketable flying car in production as soon as 2010. schnoid writes "They've been promised to us for years and in 2000 they still weren't here! Well, maybe 2010? An Israeli company is working on a flying car which should be released in 2010. Sadly, you won't be flying over traffic just yet. Initially it will only be sold to the military and rescue services with a price tag of over 1.5 million dollars! http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,249082,00.html "

God grant us the serenity to accept the things we cannot change, courage to change the things we can, and wisdom to know the difference.
