Bioshock: Gameplay, Graphics & Performance->

Submitted by
Might E. Mouse
Might E. Mouse writes "I think it's fair to say that everyone knows by now that Bioshock is a must-have game — virtually every gaming review site out there has given it 10/10. Xbox 360 owners wanting to play are covered: just pop the disc in and off you go. But what about PC gamers? Will the game run on my PC or do I need a new video card? What do all the graphics options mean — should I care about DX10 or will it still look good in DX9? UK techie site bit-tech has written a fantastic analysis of Bioshock's graphics and performance including benchmark results of everything from GeForce 8800 Ultra down to 7600 GT. There's even Quad-Core vs Dual-Core. It's a great guide for any PC gamer thinking of buying Bioshock."

How FPS storylines are written->

Submitted by
Might E. Mouse
Might E. Mouse writes "Cynics might say "Who needs a storyline for an FPS game?" and if we're talking Quake or Doom then fair enough. But to brand the entire genre as lacking in story is to condem gems like Half-Life 2. So what goes into writing a really compelling storyline for an FPS game then? bit-tech has a great article exploring this topic with the likes of Martin Lancaster, writer / designer for Crysis, Rob Yescombe, writer of Haze and more. A must read for anyone interested in getting into game design / writing."
