Thing with paying for it, though, is that the media companies have become so thoroughly evil that even paying a small amount to them is morally reprehensible. I mean, if it becomes obvious that the Republicans can't get elected in a majority anymore, then Hollywood might stop throwing money their way, but until then they need to know that whoever gets elected, they own. That's actually a good idea. Romney will be just as bad as Obama is, but since he's a Republican, the media will call him on it, and the Democrats will speak out about it, and then maybe, somehow, there will be change. Realistically, I doubt that, but it's a better shot than showing Obama that he can be worse than Bush - at least on the murdering people front - and still get your vote.

If that's really the case, though, it's too late. Nothing can save them now. And if they really did can the guys who could design good architectures, then they deserve to fail. It's just a shame that with AMD gone, there will be no way to get ECC for a desktop system.
