Aleem sent me a personal email, I accidently replied to it to the list not realising, despite the "offlist" in is subject. I'm dumb. Sorry Aleem. So heres my reply.

Years ago, as I sat watching the Scrolling Marquee Screensaver that came with windows my immediate thought was that it would be so much better if it could select randomly from a list of messages you give it, and not scroll just the one message. So I wrote it, for windows 95 and 98. Its here, along with screenshots so you can get a pretty good idea of how it works.

But now, Im getting many queries about a Windows 2000 and XP Version. Well, actually, 7. But seeing as I never advertisied the original program thats not bad. A suggestion was made to: how about if instead of picking a quote to scroll at random it just worked its way down the list?

So I currently lack the Visual Basic skills and the time to make such a thing, anyone else feel like doing so? I can garuntee you a small but grateful audience. I will try to dig out my old source code for you (Visual Basic).
