Submission + - Armenian botnet master made €100,000 a month (computerworld.com)

An anonymous reader writes: Dutch prosecutors say the mastermind behind the Bredolab bontet was making €100,000 a month renting the network just for spam alone. Georg Avanesov enjoyed holidays in the Seychelles with his pretty girlfriend and had a part-time gig as a DJ. But Bredolab grew too big, and police took notice. Dutch police tried to lure him to Amsterdam, but he apparently caught on that police were keen to nab him and never showed up a Schipol airport. He was later arrested in Armenia after departing from a late night flight on Monday from Moscow.
