Google has been slapped with a 500 million dollar fine by the US government for allowing Canadian companies to advertise pharmaceuticals to the US market. When did advertisers become responsible for content? Big pharma's lobbying power is really showing here."

LS writes "So it appears that ICANN has approved custom top level domains, so you could see domains such as phones.apple or printers.hp or resume.yournamehere. Scratch that last one — the new TLDs cost 185K USD and have massive documentation requirements. Looks like internet haves and have-nots are going to be further divided."
