I managed to make WoW run on my Linux box, but it was missing a lot of graphical effects. Did anything change since the last time I was trying to run games on Linux?

LoL consoles. I play hard core simulations, sadly none of them are available on Linux.

Depends on the country. In EU it won't, not so sure about other 3rd world countries.

It takes up to 4 hours to set everything correctly. Including the complete removal off all the not needed application in the auto-start. the level of knowledge to set it up perfectly is the same as it takes to setup a proper linux or windows server.

Would you pay 200$ for a windows installation that does not include a windows license? For a server you would, but for a workstation?

the thing is, an cheap Intel CPU + cheap dedicated GPU is faster and cheaper then anything AMD can provide. Oh, it does use less power too. The thing is, this new CPU+GPU is already dead.

While Intel is evil and we got used to it, the new AMD marketing bullshit has reached Apple level. Sorry, but I can't have sympathy for a company doing that. But I agree, no competition is terrible for consumers.
