I live in Simi Valley, CA and notice the constant launchings of the various plane and rocket entities that operate out of the high desert in Lancaster, about 60 miles north. Over the last couple of days I've been noticing aircraft leaving vapor trails very high, at very high speed (much faster and higher than commercial craft) and leaving at intervals, most probably the bombers coming out of Edwards AFB located near Lancaster.

United States Begins Flying Stealth Bombers Over South Korea 567

skade88 writes "The New York Times is reporting that the United States has started flying B-2 stealth bomber runs over South Korea as a show of force to North Korea. The bombers flew 6,500 miles to bomb a South Korean island with mock explosives. Earlier this month the U.S. Military ran mock B-52 bombing runs over the same South Korean island. The U.S. military says it shows that it can execute precision bombing runs at will with little notice needed. The U.S. also reaffirmed their commitment to protecting its allies in the region. The North Koreans have been making threats to turn South Korea into a sea of fire. North Korea has also made threats claiming they will nuke the United States' mainland."

I'm no Apple fanboi, but the Newton's (old jokes aside and it was tightened up immediately and in ensuing OS updates) implementation was a miracle to behold back then in '97 or so. Palm had that mess "graffiti" which I always resented because it made me learn to write all over again. I liked a machine that comformed to me, not the other way around.

Here's Gore - liar, rumor-monger and slippery pol extraordinaire preaching about pols selling out to special interests and lobbies while he goes and sells his failing "Current TV" network to Islamic propagandists, Al Jezeera, for millions because, I suppose, hi millions in speaking fees and book tours wasn't enough.

I have had an Intel Mac mini running XP for a home surveillance monitor/server 24/7 for approx. 5 years and it has *never* crashed, and I do a preventative restart about every 60 days. Simultaneously, I have had the identical software running on an identical install of XP on no less than 4 different PC hardware with similar CPUs (both Intel and AMD) and RAM with regular, almost daily crashing, BSD, or freezing.
