I now know why suicide rates go up during the holidays... I've never felt so lonely in my life....

  • I have grown comfortable being alone. In grade school people made fun of me because of health problems, so I gradually got used to doing things on my own. Every so often I'd see a commercial of a fantasy family getting all huggy and feel lonesome. Whenever I felt lonely, I used to go to the grocery or the square and watch people. So many are assholes that it quite slakes my thirst for companionship :)
    • Thanks. I used to be the same way, but after 4 years of being around someone 24/7 it's kinda unnerving now sometimes.

  • Just stumbled on your journal... hope things get better for you soon. Yes, this time of year can be difficult as it is very family/friend/group focused.

    Ever heard that old 80's song by The Waitresses "Christmas Wrapping"?? Check the lyrics here [hardcafe.co.uk]. Similar theme to it, about how the season is so overhyped, overmarketed, etc...
