Its not really bad at all. Its very good, with a few ui design choices that put off some users.

Yeah I'm sorry but anyone saying windows is doomed is just not paying attention. Most of computers out there are running windows and people like it.

There is no fantasy world where suddenly no one is running windows. Everyone is running windows. All is fine.

Anyone in government even contemplating the idea of making laws that violate the first and second amendment are the very same people that Americans should stand against. They are anti American, and they are in violation of our ideals.

We should just ban freedom of speech and expression. That way no child will ever die. Sandy Hook as shown us that It's more important that we all be controlled by law in every way, including our thoughts, our sex lives, and our voices, because with freedom of ideas, you might snap and go crazy one day and kill someone. Its just best that we all give in, and obey the system... because the system will never ever hurt you.

Thats not true. I upgraded to Windows 8 from 7. Its a great OS. Its essentially the same as 7 with a start menu change, and some performance improvements in the area of start up. I actually like a lot of the windows ui changes. The start menu is fine, I rarely ever use it. The biggest problem is that the App store is terribly designed, and theres no killer app that really warrants the start menu. Actually I take that back, Netflix's app is pretty damn good and you can split screen it with the desktop. I do this while rendering, because netflix app uses gpu for video processing, and it doesnt hurt my rendering performance at all.

Windows 8 is fine. This is Windows 8 RT, which does not run any existing windows applications. That is just something no one asked for.

MS made a mistake, although its not a big mistake. Microsoft wanted to have their OS running on ARM just in case ARM took over every aspect of computing. It makes sense that they invest time and money in a potential future.

However what consumers wanted, was not a windows 8 for which they could not run windows applications on. Thats the biggest problem with Windows 8 RT. It just fails to do everything Windows is known for, having ALL of the windows applications.

The windows 8 Pro tablets are far more appealing and rightfully so. They are great devices.

Nobody makes anything for linux :) Windows on the other hand offers everything, and the OS is pretty damn user friendly compared to linux.

Frankly if anyone had a chance at beating MS, it was Apple... but then Jobs died. MS has been doing very well with Windows 7 and Windows 8.

Actually this is probably the year Valve invested in a giant failure that sinks their company.
