Jack9 (11421)

Jack9
  (email not shown publicly)

I think this is where I explain why I'm Jack9 and not Jeff9. When I was in elementary school (age 6) my initials matched those of my best friend. J.C. and I were always singled out to put a middle initial on our long-term art/science projects. His initials happen to be J.J.C. and mine J.A.C. Some student was typically put in the very important position of handing out the projects to the other students, one at a time. The student would absently call out "Jack". I do not know why, but it grew on me as I had never actually met or known anyone named Jack. I didn't like being confused with my friend...something irked me that I had common initials and I soon found...a common enough name. My second ISP was AOL which had a graphical interface (early 1993 whiz-bang-cool!) and as Jeff54@aol.com was available, the ultimately preferable Jack9@aol.com was available too (people tend to identify better with 5 character names, I've read). I am Jack9, the first, the only...and that's my story.
