+ - Microsoft details how .Net split to .Net Core and .Net Framework

Submitted by I will be back
I will be back (3119157) writes "Immo Landwerth added few more detail on the Open Source .Net Core. Using recipes from mono cookbook .Net Core was built modular as unified Base Class Library (BCL), so you can install only necessary packages of Core and ship it with application using NuGet. So NuGet becomes the first class citizen and the default tool to deliver .Net Core packages.
As smaller and cross-platform subset of .Net Framework it will have it's own updated schedule and will be updated few times a year, where .Net will be updated once a year. At a time of release of .Net 4.6, Core will be a clear subset of .Net Framework. With future iterations it will be ahead of .Net Framework and some features of new versions on .Net Core will not be available in current .Net Framework but will be synchronized on a next release.

The .NET Core platform is a new .NET stack that is optimized for open source development and agile delivery on NuGet. We’re working with the Mono community to make it great on Windows, Linux and Mac, and Microsoft will support it on all three platforms.

Try Beginning Game Programming with C#
About the Course
The Beginning Game Programming with C# course is all about learning how to develop video games using the C# programming language. Why use C# instead of C++, Java, ActionScript, or some other programming language you may have heard of? First, using C# lets us use the Microsoft XNA and open-source MonoGame frameworks, which help us quickly develop games for Windows, Android, iOS, Mac OS, and others. Second, the Unity game engine is very popular with indie game developers, and C# is one of the programming languages you can use in the Unity environment. And finally, C# is a really good language for learning how to program.

Engineers from Great China inserted into appliances special chips, which are automatically connect to the network and send out viruses and spam. Batch of "spies" — irons, kettles and phones — accidentally discovered in St. Petersburg. Russian merchants had to urgently cancel contracts for the supply of goods.

Merchants are in dismay as it was trusted supplier. I'm wondering, was supplier ordered by government of Great China to replace batch of goods with state manufactured items or it is private sting operation to put a foothold in the cultural capital of Russia? Should I check my new toaster?"
