Submission + - Another impact on Jupiter, this time on video. (

An anonymous reader writes: In an incredible coincidence, just as Hubblesite released a press release overnight saying that the July 19, 2009 impact at Jupiter (discovered by Anthony Wesley) was likely an asteroid, Wesley, together with Chris Go from the Phillipines spotted another impact. This time, there is video of the event, with low resolution in blue from Chris, and higher resolution at 60 fps in red from Wesley. There is currently no indication of an impact scar, which indicates the object may have exploded higher in Jupiter's atmosphere.
