Told ya so
A few weeks ago, I posted this comment. The community decided it was a troll (even though I was serious), and responded appropriately.
Now we have this news article.
Scary, neh?
Gah. Humans.
Human social instinct infects everything we do. It permeates our interactions with each other, and 99% of us aren't even aware of it in retrospect.
There are forces at work even more fundamental than this. Emergent phenomena ensure that power aggregates - that the haves will always use their advantage over the have-nots to KEEP the gulf, and that when they don't, power shifts until haves who WILL oppress the have-nots are put in place.
This is the meta-problem. Solve this, and the universe becomes fair again. Solve this, and the Qlippoth are purified. Solve this and we Ascend.
Noone ever asks whether we're imminetizing the righteschaton.
