HaeMaker writes "AP has the news that the wireless protocol used for reading and controlling some implanted defibrillators is not encrypted. Anyone with special software and an antenna can read personal information from the implants and even reprogram the device, however it appears from the article, an attacker can not cause the defibrillator to shock a patient."
