I wanted to write an article to help get the word out that Linux can be used both as a home desktop operating system as well as in the office environment. The article was intended for all audiences and thus many technical aspects are explained. I'm sure the title has been used quite a bit, but I chose "2007, the Year of the Penguin" because its just so catchy. I would love to hear some constructive criticism regarding the paper, and if you think I should add/edit/or change anything, please let me know. I really think Linux has a fighting chance if we start making software that is able to work on all platforms.
